This month’s “5 things to read” segment puts the spotlight on local authors.

In this segment, Katy Maier from the Neville Public Museum shares her top 5 books and other books available by local authors.

  • Spin Me a Yarn: A Sweater’s Story of Love by Jenny Von Der Rohr – local author and crafter Jenny crocheted a cast of darling animal characters for her children and the stories naturally followed. This book includes photos of her creations and a darling tale of a mouse’s magical knitted sweater.

  • On a WI Family Farm (and The WI Farm They Built) by Corey Geiger – WI author and National Indie Book Awards winner shares stories from six generations of family farming.

  • Lori Jae Ricci – Prolific De Pere artist showcases her vibrant, highly imaginative works alongside the stories that accompany them.
